Pastor Paul Bernitt
Pastor Paul Bernitt is a Board Certified Doctor of Holistic Health, a Pastor, and a passionate teacher of God’s Word who has dedicated his life to helping people live with purpose, faith, and legacy.
With decades of experience in ministry, wellness, and leadership, Pastor Paul has a unique calling to awaken the God-given power within people and guide them to live beyond the pull of self-serving ambition.

Our Story
The Story of How Driftless Was Born
From Losing Everything… to Living for Something Greater Driftless Ministries was born out of a wilderness—both literal and spiritual. After experiencing personal loss that stripped away everything I thought defined me—success, position, control—I found myself face to face with a painful truth: I had been living to protect the ego rather than pursuing God’s greater purpose for my life.
In that valley, I didn’t find answers right away. What I found was silence. Stillness. Solitude. And eventually… surrender. It was during a time of prayer in the wilderness of southwest Wisconsin’s Driftless Region—an ancient land untouched by the glaciers, rugged yet preserved—that I heard the still, small voice of God call me back to something older, wiser, and deeper. I began to see that just as this region had been protected from erosion, so too could the soul be protected from the wear and tear of an ego-driven life.
Statement of Faith and Guiding Principles
At Driftless Ministries, we believe that Gospel of Jesus Christ is the foundation of a life worth living and a life worth giving.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, true and authoritative in all matters of life, faith, and purpose (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live transformed lives of purpose, service, and spiritual growth (Galatians 5:22–25, Acts 1:8).
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose again on the third day, and now reigns as King and Savior (John 1:1, John 14:6, Romans 10:9).
Growth requires self-denial and surrender, as Jesus taught: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me” (Matthew 16:24).
There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
Salvation is by grace through faith, not by works, and available to all who repent, believe, and follow Jesus (Ephesians 2:8–9, Acts 2:38).
The Church is the body of Christ, called to live in unity, love, and mission, encouraging one another toward faith, family, friendship, and legacy (Hebrews 10:24–25, 1 Corinthians 12:12–27).
The Power at Work in Believers: We believe that every believer has access to the transformative power of God through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This power is not of human origin but is the same power that raised Christ from the dead and now lives in us (Romans 8:11, Ephesians 3:20).
